The image above was created using vector shapes imported into Photoshop. I then used chrome filters, reflection maps and layer styles to color the shapes. Several photos were combined for the sea and sand. The sky uses a radial gradient with soft hand drawn shapes for the clouds.
The gold robot head features the use of Alien Skin Eye Candy filters, which have been warped and transformed to fit perspective and curvature. Additional layer effects, filters, gradients and shading have been added for detail.
The spaceport on the right was drawn with the pen tool; various gradients, filters and reflection maps were used for details.
I created the piece to the left to be amusing. I used a variety of interesting fonts and applied gradients and a drop shadow to float them in front of the image.
The Mist Monster on the left was created using texture filters. It was then inserted into a photo of rocks surrounded by mist. Textures and additional micro-photos of fungus were added. On the right is an electrical piece I made using channels, masks and gradients. The lightening was created using the difference clouds filter.
For the family portrait above I used the creatures I created for my Alien World Publications project. The individual creatures were drawn with the pen tool, colored and patterned using Photoshop filters, textures and gradients and then assembled into a group. Each creature remains a separate group so they can be easily rearranged if need be.
